Engagement rate

The formula
engagement rate = ((likes + comments) ÷ posts) ÷ followers × 100
- It is the average likes and comments a post gets, as a share of followers. Collabaway profiles use the same definition.
- Count the same posts for likes and comments, and leave out posts that were boosted as ads if you can.
- Some platforms hide likes or report views instead, and other tools may count saves and shares too, so rates from different sources may not match.
- This page doesn't say what a “good” rate is: it varies by platform, niche and audience size.
